In the fields of science, technology, and industry, atom manufacturing is a popular research topic. It spans a variety of academic fields, including manufacturing technology and atomic scale basic science. The cluster area will benefit from a new set of bottom-up ultimate micro-manufacturing processes and disciplines that will be contributed by atom manufacturing research and development. These processes and disciplines are expected to achieve a subversive technological breakthrough in the field of new materials, specialized machinery, and integrated circuit manufacturing and ultimately usher in a new phase of the industrial revolution. An academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences named Wang Enge gave comprehensive information about atom manufacturing during the presentation session, including everything from control atoms to control devices. The research accomplishments of carbon cluster materials were discussed in a presentation by Faculty member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences Xie Suyuan. The Chinese Academy of Sciences Academician Xu Hongxing provided additional details on the multi-physical field coupling in atom-made optical systems. An Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences named Yan Chunhua highlighted his professional research accomplishments in the use of rare earth-based catalysts and atomically precise modulation.

As a special guest, Professor Dr. Fengqi Song of Nanjing University’s School of Physics explored at the possibility of atom manufacturing as an industrial technology. At last, a roundtable discussion featuring five academics and a number of experts took place at the location. Participants expressed their full recognition of the potential and future of atom manufacturing technology and their hopes that the discussion would be rigorous and realistic while simultaneously advancing atom manufacturing technology research and development. The meeting lasted two days. There were more than 10 invited presentations, more than 20 keynote presentations, and more than 30 online keynote presentations in addition to inviting a number of academicians from the Chinese Academy of Sciences to deliver keynote addresses. More than 100 experts and academics participated in the event and conducted a collision of knowledge and ideas by sharing their practical and scholarly accomplishments from various angles. New developments in atom manufacturing will also be on exhibit at the same time. Additionally, a large number of visitors from outside the area who were unable to attend the event took part in the discussion via online video.

Nanjing University, Shenzhen Association for Science and Technology, and Shenye Group Co., LTD. jointly hosted the forum. In order to advance the growth of our university’s atom manufacturing discipline, Wan Xiangang, Vice Dean of the School of Physics at Nanjing University, spoke on behalf of the school.
