Forty years ago, the discovery of a “soccer ball” composed of 60 carbon atoms reshaped our understanding of the material world and inaugurated the era of nanotechnology. Forty years later, top scientists from around the globe gathered in Wuhu, China, to celebrate the “Ruby Anniversary” of the “Prince of Nanomaterials”—Fullerene.

A Distinguished Gathering of Scientific Minds
From November 14th to 17th, the Fullerene Ruby Anniversary Symposium was held at Anhui Normal University. As a premier global academic event, it featured distinguished scholars, including Academicians Zheng Lansun and Xie Suyuan. Attendees retraced the glorious 40-year journey of fullerene science, showcased cutting-edge research, and mapped out the future of this extraordinary field.

Inside the symposium, a vibrant exchange of ideas took place. From fundamental theoretical research to advanced applications, the presentations demonstrated the immense potential of fullerenes in energy, materials science, and biomedicine.
Industrial Breakthroughs: Healthyking Gains Global Recognition
In this high-level academic setting, the power of industrialization was equally prominent. As a key participant, Fujian Healthyking Biotechnology Co., Ltd. showcased its series of breakthrough achievements in the industrialization of fullerenes.

Transitioning from “gram-level” rarities to “ton-level” industrial products, Healthyking—supported by the top-tier research capabilities of the College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering at Xiamen University—successfully established and stabilized the world’s first ton-level production line using the combustion method. This milestone achievement has dismantled the technical and cost barriers to mass production, transforming fullerenes from laboratory “samples” into viable market “products.”
During the conference, Mr. Xie Fufa, Chairman of Healthyking, engaged in deep technical discussions with global research teams. The company’s display of high-purity fullerene powders (including 99.9% purity C₇₀) and its accumulation of industrial application technology earned widespread acclaim from the scientific community.

A Commitment to Science: The “Chief Logistics Officer” for Research
In his address to the symposium, Chairman Xie Fufa made a powerful commitment to the global scientific community: “Healthyking is ready to serve as the most reliable ‘Chief Logistics Officer’ and the most open ‘R&D Partner’ for scientists.”
This initiative resonated strongly with the attendees. Healthyking pledged to leverage its robust industrial platform and stable supply chain to provide global researchers with a comprehensive range of stable, high-quality, and affordably priced fullerene raw materials, allowing scientists to focus entirely on frontier exploration.
Furthermore, Healthyking is opening its doors to comprehensive collaborations—from functional validation to application development—aiming to build an open, win-win ecosystem that accelerates the transition of excellent research from the lab to the market.

A New Journey Together
From 1985 to 2025, the journey of fullerene has been one of brilliance. From laboratory discovery to industrial reality, Healthyking has both witnessed and driven the industry’s leapfrog development. On this new journey, Healthyking will continue to uphold its responsibility as a National High-Tech Enterprise, walking hand-in-hand with global scientists to catalyze innovation and contribute to the next forty years of scientific and social progress.
